Content Considorations
A Polar Expedition and Other Stimulating Research Opportunities
This work contains: Traumatic brain injury, including amnesia, medical treatment/blood talk, threats and mentions of capital punishment, off-screen presumed death of a minor, non-con mating bond, shifted sex, primal play, discussion of breeding (without pregnancy), somnophilia, lies by omission, stalking, power exchange without explicit consent, references to classist society created by preferential treatment of magically gifted individuals.
This takes place in a world that is, like our own, deeply flawed, despite my attempts to cozy it up. Please take care of yourselves, friends.
On the Care and Keeping of Orcs
This work contains: Explicit sexual content, mentions of breeding, mentions of pregnancy, children, parental abandonment, lactation during sex, loss of a sibling (historical), minor violence, and spousal abandonment (historical). If you feel I have missed any content that should be listed here, please reach out to me at kassieoshire@gmail.com, I'd love to update the list if needed.
This book also features a character coming out as transgender, and the beginning of their transition. This does not, obviously, need a warning. However, until that point, the characters and I use their name and gender assigned at birth.
This is a fantasy world, in which magic users can change any part of their body they like and while certain parts of it are deeply flawed, it is intentionally queer friendly. I have imagined a world where there are only positive, supportive responses to someone coming out and believe that someday we will have the same. My hopes for magic are sadly less realistic.
The Rake OR The Orca Who Met HIs Match in a Selkie Desiring Revenge
Because I write fairly cozy books, it's really important to me that I let you know what you are in for! This list will be updated in the ebook as needed!
The traditional selkie tales are littered with fishermen stealing a selkie's pelt to keep her as a wife, and her escaping the second she can. As such, those themes are examined in this book.
Things that definitely happen on page: abduction, captivity, biting (he tries to eat her when she's a seal), slavery, physical violence (to bad guys), panic attacks including dissociation, touch aversion, brief gaslighting during banter, BDSM (restraint) practices without proper planning, (sexy) stabbing, shifted sex
Things that happen but are not shown on page: sexual assault, sex trafficking, parental death
Take care of yourself, okay?
On a less serious note, this book has footnotes. Why? Because my thoughts come with extra special bonus content. If they bother you, don't read them. They are so silly and I work hard to make sure they aren't information you need. They are written in character by another character, which can be confusing. They are there to make you laugh, make you smile, or give you a hint of the future. So, if they aren't doing that? Skip em. I give you permission, hell, I implore you. Don't stress over some footnotes, it's not that deep, I promise.
The Adventures of a Tiny Tree, Interspersed with Whimsical Anecdotes from a Disguarded Pair of Trousers
Because I write fairly cozy books, it's really important to me that I let you know what you are in for. The Adventures of a Tiny Tree is largely a story about what happens after. As such, Dahlia, Jokith, and Henry all deal with that trauma history on page.
Specifically, they are dealing with the messy aftermath of sexual slavery, child soldiering, and an overall horrifying fantasy empire. None of that trauma happens on page, aside from some memories, which are somewhat vague, if still visceral.
There's some delicious sexual content as Dahlia finds her pleasure, including a Daddy dynamic, praise kink and monster anatomy (that I will leave as the best surprise).
The full list of detailed warnings, including spoilers, can be found at the end of the book
. As a survivor, and a mental health data analyst, I've done my best (as have my sensitivity readers) to ensure that I've listed all content that could be troublesome. If you find anything that I've missed, I'd love if you'd send me an email at kassieoshire@gmail.com, so I can include it .

He Sees You When You're Sleeping
Content Considerations
If you’re familiar with our work, you might expect this to be quite cozy, and in some ways, it is. In this book, we didn’t even try for cozy, so our usual readers should be aware that there are some serious considerations you should make with this content.
We promise there’s an HEA but until then there’ll be:
Choking
Piercing with claws
Stalking
Religious trauma
Negative self-talk
Semi-manipulative familial behavior
Serious mental health struggles (PTSD from a mugging, general anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia)
Kidnapping
Threats of sexual violence
Shit that would just be dangerous in real life.
Depictions of blood and violence
Consensual degradation during sex
Sexual scenarios which could be interpreted as having dubious consent (though both characters consent to the best of their ability)
Somnophilia
One thing we don’t want you to worry about, even for a single second, is the dog. Henry is the goodest boy forever and so NOTHING BAD WILL EVER HAPPEN TO HIM.
